A Bronx woman admittedly was at her wit's end when she could not stop her 2-month-old granddaughter from crying in the child's Elm Park home.
Natalie Greene told police she picked up the infant, shook and squeezed her.
Prosecutors allege Ms. Green, 40, rattled the infant so hard and pushed her back into her crib with such force that the baby suffered fractures of the skull, arms and ribs. 'I just got really frustrated. I didn't mean to hurt her,' Ms. Greene, 40, told police, according to a law-enforcement source. 'I'm so sorry.'
Ms. Greene was baby-sitting the infant when the incident occurred Oct. 9 about 3 p.m. inside the girl's Newark Avenue home, the source said. No one else was home at the time. The source did not have details on the child's current condition other than to say she was taken to Richmond University Medical Center after the incident. A RUMC spokeswoman said yesterday the hospital does not comment on any pediatric patient.
Its crazy how sometimes you might think leaving your child with a family is a good idea but when people are dont raising kids or dont like kids, stuff like this happens. To me its not even worth it.
