Where did the mets come from?

The Mets also have given indications that they'll pursue Lackey as a No. 2 starter behind Johan Santana, but they do not appear likely to venture into the neighborhood Lackey's camp reportedly has set as its target.
The Red Sox also have been mentioned as potential Lackey suitors along with the Mariners, but the level of interest of those clubs has not been clear.
'We've dialogued quite a bit,' Angels general manager Tony Reagins said, calling the conversations with Lackey's agent, Steve Hilliard, 'reasonable.' The GM added that he would not divulge any specific terms, a club policy.
Retaining Lackey, 31, for something in the five-year, $70 million range would free the Angels to focus their attention on the offense. Reagins said there are 'a lot of scenarios we can attack through free agency,' and the trade market also is being explored.

More Yankee stuff

John Lackey's marketability -- and future -- could swing with the Yankees' ability to strike a deal with Andy Pettitte.
Multiple outlets are anticipating a contract offer in the $11 million range being extended by the Yankees to Pettitte at this week's Winter Meetings. If the veteran southpaw accepts, it could hinder Lackey's ability to drive his price tag into the $85-100 million range over as many as six years, given that the Yankees no longer might be compelled to seek a high-end starter.
This in turn could bring the Angels back into the picture, enabling them to be competitive in the market and, hopefully, reunite a rotation that manager Mike Scioscia called 'the best and deepest' in his 10 years on the job.

WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS?

Johnny Damon said he doesn't believe Curtis Granderson’s arrival will hurt his chances of returning to the Yankees.
'I don’t think it affects what I can still do. Either they come out and pursue me or they don’t,' Damon told The Post from Orlando, where he just landed after returning from Barcelona. 'I still know how to play baseball and will make any team better.'
Damon and Hideki Matsui are free agents who may no longer be needed after the Yankees acquired Granderson in a three-team trade in which they shipped out three prospects.

Matsui’s agent, Arn Tellem, told The Post, 'I don’t think the trade has any impact one way or another. Though it was a long shot both Damon and Matsui would return even before Granderson’s arrival, it’s more unlikely now. And don’t forget: The Yankees still have Melky Cabrera and Brett Gardner.
Tellem said he and Brian Cashman have met regarding Matsui but there are no real negotiations taking place regarding the World Series MVP."

Report: White Sox Show Serious Interest in Hideki Matsui - New York Yankees - NESN.com

White Sox Show Serious Interest in Hideki Matsui - New York Yankees - "If the Yankees are going to bring Hideki Matsui back to the Bronx next year, they're going to have some serious competition. According to the New York Daily News, the White Sox have emerged as a 'serious contender' for the outfielder's services. While the Angels have confirmed that they are interested in Matsui, their level of interest is not known.
Although the Yankees are expected to make a push for Matsui before he makes a decision, Tuesday's trade for Detroit's Curtis Granderson suggests there will not be a spot on next year's roster for both Matsui and Johnny Damon.
The Daily News reports that the White Sox would have about $5-6 million to offer Matsui.
In 2009, the 35-year-old hit .274 with 28 homers and 90 RBIs and was named the MVP of the World Series."..

I LOVE THE YANKEES!

Christmas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Christmas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "Christmas[2] or Christmas Day[3][4] is an annual holiday celebrated on December 25 that commemorates the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.[5][6] The date of commemoration is not known to be Jesus' actual birthday, and may have initially been chosen to correspond with either a historical Roman festival[7] or the winter solstice.[8] Christmas is central to the Christmas and holiday season, and in Christianity marks the beginning of the larger season of Christmastide, which lasts twelve days.[9]
Although traditionally a Christian holiday, Christmas is widely celebrated by many non-Christians,[1][10] and some of its popular celebratory customs have pre-Christian or secular themes and origins. Popular modern customs of the holiday include gift-giving, music, an exchange of greeting cards, church celebrations, a special meal, and the display of various decorations; including Christmas trees, lights, and garlands, mistletoe, nativity scenes, and holly. In addition, Father Christmas (known as Santa Claus in North America, Australia and Ireland) is a popular mythological figure in many countries, associated with the bringing of gifts for children.[11]
Because gift-giving and many other aspects of the Christmas festival involve heightened economic activity among both Christians and non-Christians, the holiday has become a significant event and a key sales period for retailers and businesses. The economic impact of Christmas is a factor that has grown steadily over the past few centuries in many regions of the world."

Cop too! dang!

Complaints about delays in the blood test policy for New York DWI arrests have apparently succeeded as cops and district attorneys agreed on a new format. Previously, 2 breath test refusals were required in order for a police officer to even ask for a warrant for a blood test. The first refusal takes place in the field. The suspect has a second chance to take a breath test at the precinct. Only after a second refusal could an investigating officer petition for a warrant for the blood test.
This issue came to light very public DWI cases where New York City police officers were both the suspects and the investigators in an accident. In one such case, officer Andrew Kelley is suspected of DWI in an accident that took the life of a local Bronx woman. At the time of the arrest, several witnesses reported Kelley showed signs of impairment. A blood test several hours later showed no alcohol was present in his blood at that point.
To prevent these types of delays in the future, cops and D.A.'s are agreeing to require only one breath test refusal, the first one in the field, before petitioning for a warrant. Some defense attorneys question how much this will actually speed up the process since the second refusal usually comes within 30 minutes. The parties have not yet decided whether the blood tests will be administered strictly in medical facilities or possibly at the precinct by doctors working for the police department.
Whether or not the public will accept this new procedure or question its constitutionality remains to be seen. For now, this is not a law change but a policy change. A legal response may be required if the many parties involved cannot agree on the lawfulness of this procedure.

Cant trust GrANDMAN

A Bronx woman admittedly was at her wit's end when she could not stop her 2-month-old granddaughter from crying in the child's Elm Park home.
Natalie Greene told police she picked up the infant, shook and squeezed her.

Prosecutors allege Ms. Green, 40, rattled the infant so hard and pushed her back into her crib with such force that the baby suffered fractures of the skull, arms and ribs. 'I just got really frustrated. I didn't mean to hurt her,' Ms. Greene, 40, told police, according to a law-enforcement source. 'I'm so sorry.'
Ms. Greene was baby-sitting the infant when the incident occurred Oct. 9 about 3 p.m. inside the girl's Newark Avenue home, the source said. No one else was home at the time. The source did not have details on the child's current condition other than to say she was taken to Richmond University Medical Center after the incident. A RUMC spokeswoman said yesterday the hospital does not comment on any pediatric patient.

Its crazy how sometimes you might think leaving your child with a family is a good idea but when people are dont raising kids or dont like kids, stuff like this happens. To me its not even worth it.

Honest John: Audi offers to pay for out of warranty leaky turbo - Telegraph

Telegraph "have just been informed that my three year-old Audi's turbo is leaking oil after only 34,000 miles. Audi will pay for a new one (approximate cost £1,250), but I will have to pay £350 for fitting. I am pleased not to have to pay for the turbo, because the car is just out of warranty, but should such problems occur on a car as young as this?
MR, via email

That's a fair offer from Audi – and gratifying that it was made voluntarily. Oil seals usually fail because the engine has been switched off when the turbo is still red hot.

No engine oil is then able to circulate to cool the turbo bearings, the oil left in there carbonises and the seals cook. You should always allow a turbocharged engine to idle for a minute or two after towing or driving on the motorway (don't switch off straight away at fuel stops).
If your journey ends with a few minutes relatively slow running though a town at low engine speeds, that will do the job and there's no need to idle the turbo.

Some of the latest petrol turbos are watercooled, so there is less of a problem.
Some turbo engines have a system that keeps pumping oil through the turbo while it spools down after the engine is switched off, so they're fine too."

early plans for Hughes and Joba

The Yankees are planning to go to spring training with Phil Hughes and Joba Chamberlain being programmed to start. 'They can always go from starting to the bullpen, but it's tough going the other way,' says Yankees general manager Brian Cashman.
Cashman feels David Robertson and Damaso Marte can pitch the seventh and eighth innings in front of Mariano Rivera, but a Yankees run at John Lackey, Ben Sheets or another starter hasn't been ruled out. The feeling inside the Yankees' offices is that there will be some payroll cutback, but how much is not known.

That's the way to go. Preparing to start prevents Hughes and Joba from neglecting their third and fourth pitches, which they wouldn't really need as relievers. It also allows them to not look desperate for starting pitching on the trade/FA market. And if they do end up acquiring a couple 'established' starters, it's far easier to to move one of Hughes/Joba to the pen where they can 'drop' a pitch rather than having to 're-learn' a pitch late in the off-season.

baseball baseball baseball

Joseph Pawlikowski of RiverAveBlues.com weighs all the possible Yankee left field options. The Yankees continue to be a factor in rumors regarding free agents Mike Cameron, Matt Holliday and of course Johnny Damon. There may be several trade options as well. We just did a story on the Royals looking to move David DeJesus. There are also possibilities that the Nationals would listen to offers for Josh Willingham whom Pawlikowski takes a closer look at. Also, a long shot is Rockies outfielder Brad Hawpe.
There are numerous options, but at the end of the day, it would make the most sense to bring Damon back into the fold.

Godzilla

Hideki Matsui, the designated hitter for the New York Yankees, is nicknamed after the towering sea creature that mutated out of control through exposure to atomic radiation in Japanese B-flicks of old.

Matsui, the Yankees’ Japanese import, terrorized the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. His performance earned him the series’ Most Valuable Player award, making it a true World Series.

He’s one of few foreigners playing in the Major Leagues who isn’t from a country in America’s back yard of the Caribbean and Latin America. This time I didn’t cringe when the sports announcers proclaimed the Bronx Bombers the 2009 World Champs.

Love them or hate them, the Yankees are the sporting soul of New York.

long day

I had a really long day. I got into a crazy argument with one of the project managers at work because some are too stupid or lazy to do their own work and think other people are stupid enough to do it for them. I can tell you one thing I'm not stupid.

I also just came from best buy also because I bought a surround sound and the DVD player blew out. I took it in because I have insurance on it but the service department said that for the price it will cost them to fix it that they would consider it a junk out and to get a whole new one equivalent to the value of the one I had. So fine I ended up getting the one that I originally wanted but the one that blew was the one my husband wanted because it looked good with the TV. I told him not to get it and look now, we had to get rid of it. The only thing we are stuck with now are the speakers. They said that they couldn't take it back because they will just throw it away so they let us keep it. I don't know I might just sell it to someone or store it away until I can figure out what to do with it.

So I'm super exhausted. Work is draining every little energy that I don't have and when I want to come home to sleep I cant because I have homework or errands to run and the dog's hyperness doesn't help at all!! I have never felt so drained before. I cant wait for thanksgiving because I get that Thursday and Friday off plus the weekends!! Thank GOD! I have never been into that black Friday hype so I will be getting plenty of sleep. Days off like that I like to go out to eat and stuff but since most of my girls work and my husband has to work it will be sleep time for me and the dog. I just cant wait!

New moon is coming out this Friday!! YAY!! so I'm going to see it on Sunday!! YAY!! I couldn't wait! I had the whole count down going and everything. Eclipse is coming out on June/2010. Yea I am a fan but that's because I have read all the books and since twilight movie was just as good as the book, I cant wait!!

anyways I have to go! My eyes are starting to droop while I am typing this up!
Nite Ya!

Ok so I know I'm suppose to blog daily and now that it's as simple as texting it I don't know why I don't do it daily. I guess between work and other classes I have the most simplest things get neglected.

I didn't make it to class Friday because I had some personal things to handle. I eventually got home around 12am and my husband bought paranormal activity DVD from god knows where. We decided to watch it because I wasn't tired to go to bed and I needed time to just sit back and relax.. Well let me tell you that the movie is insane!!! I would watch it again!!! I do believe in those things and strongly but it's just crazy how this actually happened and that they decide to record it.. It was just creepy and of course the lights were off when we watch it... I did have a hard time falling asleep at first. I wasn't scared I was just thinking about it and kind of want to research it some more and find some more stories. I just find it very interesting!!

Cops

Authorities Thursday afternoon named a Town of Newburgh man as a major player in a massive drug ring that trafficked in cocaine, marijuana and prescription drugs throughout the mid-Hudson.

The drugs were brought in from Arizona, Florida, the Dominican Republic, Canada and the Bronx and funneled through the Town of Newburgh.
A total of 37 residents from Orange, Ulster, Westchester and Dutchess counties were rounded up Thursday morning following a two-year-long investigation that involved wiretaps and a host of local, state and federal agencies.

Seven suspects remain at large, officials said.
Authorities confiscated $172,000 worth of marijuana, 62 prescription painkillers and cocaine worth $10,000 as well as $83,000 in cash.

im back

Ok so I finally figured that the text to blog actually works. The only thing was that I forgot to re-read the post before sending it and I misspelled a word. Actually I wanted to say hope and instead teh stupid Iphone put hole. Whatever! Atleast it was close.

So yesterday was a horrible day! I really think Im getting fed up with my job. My boss and I went at it yesterday because he swears he is never wrong. He's already under paying me for the massive work I am responsible for so he should KNOW better than getting loud with me. I let it go and went to work today feeling like I have the whole company on my back. I actually spent the WHOLE day on the one thing that he wanted me to do. I didnt finish about two things which is why I am going to work tomorrow EXTRA early to get his crap over and done with. GOD he is super annoying and I really feel like looking for another job. I'm just scared that I might be over qualified, I might not get the salary that I am looking for or go into a company that might not be secure enough.

I dont know! I just know I have to really think things through.

Drug raids

A series of raids on drug rings in Orange County led to the arrests of 44 people on Thursday, state officials said.

The suspects are accused of funneling large amounts of cocaine, prescription drugs and marijuana into the area through three separate drug-distribution networks.

State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said more than $180,000 worth of drugs and $83,000 in cash were seized during the roundup dubbed 'Operation Burning Plant.'

Six people were charged in connection with a cocaine trafficking ring extending from Orange County and the Bronx to Florida and the Dominican Republic. Eighteen others face charges they distributed ille-gal prescription medication.

Prosecutors have charged 28 with involvement in a marijuana distribution network working between Orange County and Florida, Arizona and Canada. Several suspects are charged with overlapping par-ticipation in at least two of the trafficking rings.

The raids centered on the town of Newburgh. The arrests follow a two-year investigation led by state police and officials from the state Attorney General's Office. Numerous other law-enforcement agencies also were involved.

OMG!

Date:11/08/09
Time: 3:45 pm
Place: Home

I haven't blogged in a minute already. There isn't any excuses because I have the blog mobile now where I can blog through text messages but remember the Yankees won the world series. I have been watching the games and when we won, I celebrated til the end of the weekend. I couldn't go to the parade but a few of us went to applebees at lunch with our Yankee gear on. It was the coolest thing ever.

Some of us went out on Saturday too and we all had our Yankee jackets and our fitted. It was crazy how the parade was on Friday and on Saturday when people saw our crew they would scream go Yankees or do something stupid. It was just way too much fun.

We didn't do much yesterday but go out to dinner and went to see SAW 6 which was ridiculous!! My husband and I have been seeing saw at the movies since the first one came out and even though it was late we HAD to go see it. Things kept coming up which caused us not to be able to go see it but man that movie was SICK!!! lol...

Over all! I had an awesome weekend! Now time to go back to work tomorrow and deal with the pain in the asses!!

So I forgot

Date:11/03/09
Time: 12:45 PM
Place: Home

So I forgot to post the pass couple of days. I just got the blogger working on my phone so I don't have to try to get to my lap top all the time. No excuse to not get to my school work but the Yankee came was on this weekend and people came over. I had a big party on Saturday which was really just to watch the world series. It was so much fun. Sunday was just a day to recuperate because I woke up a ZOMBIE!!! and of course to watch the game again.

Monday my little brother had knee surgery because of a sport injury. He had hopes of getting into the MLB and I guess watching the game hit him hard because not only was he in pain he was also not comfortable with not playing until he gets better. But I'm his big sister and I have to be strong for him and unfortunately the Yankees lost. Ugh what a day.

My husband is off today and I took it off too because I wanted to take my brother to his follow-up appointment and to be with my husband. It feels sooo good to sleep in alittle and to come home from errands instead of work. I was going to go in as soon as my brother was done seeing the doctor but I wanted to get school work done too.

Today there isn't a game on. Yankees come back to the Bronx tomorrow to win the series. Right now is Yanks 3 Phillie's 2 so we just need one win!! CANT WAIT!! LETS GO YANKEES! 2

BACK BLOGGING SINCE LONG TIME AGO.

Date: 10/30/09
Time: 9:40 pm
Place: Home

Ok so I have to write for ten minutes AGAIN, which is cool for me because I love to express my day. I would have posted my contract here to buy time and have something to write about but I wont because I don't want anyone stealing my ideas or it ends up on google or something.

Technology is practically taken over and I have a very hectic schedule from working and going to school full time, tending to my husband, and trying to have a fun social life like going to the Yankees games and it gets hard sometimes also to keep up with class assignments like this blog. So I searched around and found out that I can do my blogs from my iPhone. WOOHOOO!! that means where ever I go and I can take some time out of my day and just blog, like when your on the toilet. Its the coolest thing. I already bought the Microsoft application in case I get stuck having to type up a paper and I am running late to get home. Not everyone I know have computers so I'm pretty much depended on my laptop when I get home. I cant even bring it with me anywhere neither because internet service is never guarantee and I REFUSE to buy those USB thing that you plug up into your laptop and pay a monthly service fee. I'm sorry but we in a recession.

FINAL OPENING DAY AT THE OLD YANKEE STADIUM!

Birthdays! birthdays! birthdays!

On the third was my best friends birthday. On the sixth was my husbands aunt birthday. My cousin's birthday was on the twelfth. The thirteenth was my birthday. The sixteenth was my other cousins birthday. The 21st was my brothers birthday. Today is my husbands cousin birthday. Next week is my other brother birthday and the week after he's is my sister's birthday.

I'll get a break from birthday's after my sisters so that's good. I just hate trying to remember to call to say happy birthday or if I just so happen to see them I have to remember to get them at least flowers.

I don't have to worry about getting presents or calling to say happy birthday until about July. The beginning of the year is tough for me because there are so many parties to go too and since my dad birthday is in January, I like to take him out. Sometimes I don't want to go out on my birthday because I'm always out celebrating everyone elses.

I feel lazy

Time: 6:56pm
Date: 02/22/09
Place: Home

I'm feeling so lazy and I wish I took my vacation. I need a break from work, school and from family. I'm fine with one lazy day where I do nothing and talk to no one. I got home really really late last night and woke up about an hour ago. Thank god my husband is doing the laundry because I am not in the mood for it. I hope he walks the dog later since I dont feel like it.

I still have a few tweaks that I have to do to the car before its finished mechanically and later get someone to work on the body. But I dont want to do anything today. Not even my homework but I have to get it in or I get a really bad grade and tht would suck.

I'm exhusted

Date:02/21/09
Time: 8:30pm
Place: Aunties house.

I'm hanging with my aunt at her house in queens. My grandma came from the Dominican Republic and I'm trying to take as much time with as I can. I love my grandma and her cooking!! lol!! Today is my little brothers birthday and I want to go spend time with him but he lives super far in Long Island and I don't feel like taking that long drive there and back.

I had to get up early and do some errands than headed over to my aunt's. I don't leave here until about 2am because she lives all the way by the airports and like 5 minutes away from Brooklyn. The traffic gets crazy around here which is why I leave here late. Now we going to play some poker and win some money.

I had like a super long day. Sometimes I hate taking days off because work gets hectic and it seems like nobody does anything when I'm not there. I took care of everything that needed to be done urgently and kind of surprised myself in all the work that I've done in just a few hours. I mean I've been doing it for 3 years already but it doesn't get easy with time. We do construction projects for the city and they are constantly changing their system regarding paper work and invoices that get submitted. My boss actually gave me a complement today. We call him "No Emotion" because he is always focused on what he needs to get done and what he requires to get done. When he came to me he was saying how he was just reminding me what was urgent. When I told him that I was done he just stared at me and asked me if I was serious I told him yea and showed me all the copies. A smile cracked open his face and said good job and thank you very much.

Now how about that raise Mr. No Emotion?

I haven't blogged in so long but that's because it was my birthday weekend! I had a blast! My grandmother came from Dominican republic and cooked me a HUGE meal for my birthday. My husband and I spent Valentines day with them too since it was pointless going out on a Saturday. It doesn't matter thou we had alot of fun. Most of my cousins have their birthdays back to back so it was a big weekend hanging out at my aunties house playing poker! I cleaned everyone out all weekend long. They all said they don't want to play with me anymore because for the past six weekends that we've been playing poker I've been banking. For the past couple of weekends I can tell you one thing that I am not feeling this recession. lol.

Hopefully we get to play this weekend and no one is too mad at me for taking their money. I figure this, if you don't have the money you shouldn't play from the beginning and if you do have the money remember its just fun and there is a limit to everything.

I'm just going to write a quick blog since I know its being graded and I wont blog for the rest of the couple of days. Tomorrow is my birthday and I have BIG plans so I wont even be around a computer or even inside a building to do anything. Right now I'm going to finish a case study that is due Sunday and I want to submit it today because I wont be able to do anything over the weekend. I even took Monday off so I can have some time to rest and relax before going back to work. I'll be to tired to run around and I don't want to take any chances that I'm all grouchy at everyone because my weekend wasn't restful.

Anyway, I'm going to eat something because I haven't been able to get anything to eat since I had work and school work that needed to be finished.

ANOTHER BLOG ANOTHER DAY!

Time:9:51pm
Date: 02/11/09
Place: Home

I sometimes wonder if people actually read this. Do people really wonder around blogs to read stuff? I mean I knew blog was around and I blog alot on myspace to the people that no me but with this feel like I'm talking to myself. I sometimes feel like I'm just blabbing away just so I can get a good grade for English class.

OOO!! Just in case people are ready this I can promote a good read to people. I am a fan of twilight and I have been before the movie came out. Now for all those fans that are looking for something similar to twilight than you have to read "Need" by Carrie Jones. Its a really cute book and a quick read.

OO!! and since I'm a big fan of Stephenie Meyers. I am reading a book that she suggested and its called Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. My friends and I are reading it together (almost like a boot-leg book club) and we cannot seem to put it down!! We feel that its a MUST read! Once we are done with that than we are going to start "the host" by Stephenie Meyers.

My eyes burn!! lol!! Im So SLEEPY!!

Time: 11:22pm
Date:02/10/09
Place: Home

Today was a long day for me. After working a long day I had to head out to school to register for next session. Once I got my classes together I had to help my friend understand her taxes because she is new to the country and the job screwed her over on her except which is making her pay right now. I feel bad for her. Her family dropped her in a new country with out teaching her anything which is why I go out my way to help her. She is a really good kind hearted person and her family is taking her for granted. Hopefully one day she will become an experienced New Yorker and her family will stop abusing her they way they are.

Its just lessons in life that we have to learn. Sometimes I say "stop teaching me things because I'm tired of trying to figure it out." Life will always be difficult and there are MOMENTS that are pleasant and I finally accepted that things aren't going to be easy.

I'm kind of sad that winter is almost over. I really like the cold. I mean I like cold, chilly weather which is why I also like fall and spring. Basically I like jacket and cold weathers. I hate the summer. I never want to go anywhere because its just too hot move or be around people. I usually go out at night during the summer because at least the sun isn't beaming on me. But during the chilly weather I roam around. I wonder where can I move that doesn't have hurricane disasters, tornado's, earthquakes and its goes as high as 75 degrees. Find me a place like that and I'm moving quick!! Maybe once I get older than I might want the sunny weather but right now I'm a timberland boots and a jacket kind of girl!

I'm probably going to be a low grade for English because I didn't blog for two days but I stayed with my aunt who is still in the hospital. My grandmother came from Dominican Republic to stay with my aunt and help her recover. I am glad she is here. I love her to death and wish she would move back to New York. Hopefully one day she will.

I finally have time to finish my homework's for my classes and rest alittle today because over the weekend I became the driver of people who visit my aunt and just so happen to live in the Bronx (my aunt is in queens). It was weird because I had to pick up people that just so happened to be in the area where I had to do my errands or they live in my neighborhood. I love to drive but I think I'm exhaust from being behind the wheel and tomorrow I have to go to work which means get in my car and do some more driving.

I think one day I'm going to pay someone to drive me around.

Man it was cold today. I mean I don't walk anywhere beside to my car but that short walk was brutal. I didn't stay out long but I did have to do my nails so I got out the way.

My best friend hung out with me at work for alittle during lunch hour because I was so mad at work I needed a breather. I even threw the some papers at my boss. I didn't mean to but it was a reaction that had my blood boiling. My job caters lunch on Thursdays so she hung with me for an hour and took my mind off of things. I love her to death she is like my sister practically and her son is an angel.

I'm glad she took the time to take me distress call and come from downtown Manhattan (where she lives) to mount Vernon (where I work) just to save me from the madness out in the world.

I appreciate everything she has done for me and how she stuck around since we were four. Not once did I ever felt that I was loosing her as a friend and sister. I hope I never made her feel that way.

its snowing!

TIME: 7:45PM
PLACE: HOME
DATE:02/03/09

It snowing again!! I personally love the snow. I want to leave new york and live somewhere else but I need my seasons. Maybe I'll move to Connecticut, its beautiful there. My dad has a house out there deep in Connecticut. I mean its so different form the city. We are use to rats crossing while they are use to rabbits and turkeys. Its a total 360 from what you are use too.

Hopefully once I graduate everything will fall into place nicely and I'll have my seasons away from the city. I still want to be able to get to the city via train or car because of our family that are left here. The others moved to either Florida or back to their home countries. I also don't want to be too far from my siblings. I guess since I'm the oldest I still feel need to protect them. Its six of us and the last two are still living with our mother and is about to graduate high school and the other one is entering high school. They are my little boys and until the last one is on his secure feet than I'll have a clear mind if I every decide to move far but for now I need them close.

Some might say take a day off for yourself. Well that's what the weekend is for. I dedicate Saturday to me and me only unless I"m failing a class.

I learned alot!

Date: 01/30/09
Time:10:40pm
Place: Home

Early today I was reading this chain junk email that stuck in my head for a little while but in a good way. This was what the chain letter consist:

The Wooden Bowl

A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year old grandson.

The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered.
The family ate together at the table. But the elderly grandfather's shaky hands and failing sight made eating difficult. Peas rolled off his spoon onto the floor. When he grasped the glass, milk spilled on the tablecloth. The son and daughter-in-law became irritated with the mess.

'We must do something about father,' said the son. 'I've had enough of his spilled milk, noisy eating, and food on the floor.' So the husband and wife set a small table in the corner. There, Grandfather ate alone while the rest of the family enjoyed dinner. Since Grandfather had broken a dish or two, his food was served in a wooden bowl. When the family glanced in Grandfather's direction, sometimes he had a tear in his eye as he sat alone. Still, the only words the couple had for him were sharp admonitions when he dropped a fork or spilled food. The four-year-old watched it all in silence.

One evening before supper, the father noticed his son playing with wood scraps on the floor.
He asked the child sweetly, 'What are you making?' Just as sweetly, the boy responded,
'Oh, I am making a little bowl for you and Mama to eat your food in when I grow up. ' The four-year-old smiled and went back to work. The words so struck the parents so that they were speechless.

Then tears started to stream down their cheeks. Though no word was spoken, both knew what must be done. That evening the husband took Grandfather's hand and gently led him back to the family table. For the remainder of his days he ate every meal with the family. And for some reason, neither husband nor wife seemed to care any longer when a fork was dropped, milk spilled, or the tablecloth soiled.

This made me think of alot of things like no matter what happens, how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life and maybe I should make amends with my mother who I haven't spoken to or seen in over 6 years. I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same thing as making a 'life.' I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've learned that I don't regret the happenings in my life because they made me who I am and will become. I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands because you need to be able to throw something back at it. I've learned that I do experience pain but that doesn't mean I have to be one. Than I realized the most important lesson of all: I still have alot to learn.

I dont know

Date: 01/29/09
Time: 9pm
Place: Home

You ever had one of those days where you were doing things and you don't even realize what have you been doing. You know what I mean?

Well yesterday I forgot to blog because I was just exhausted from studying for my other class. When I go home from school yesterday and I parked the car, I just realized that god must have been by my side because I honestly don't remember the drive home. At first I thought maybe its because I'm so use to doing certain things on certain days and taking the same route. At sat in my car for maybe about five minutes, I gave my blessing to God because I really don't remember ever getting in my car and going home.

Today was the same thing. I mean this time I actually remember going to work but while I'm at work I don't realize anything that I'm doing. Since I handle a lot of the accounts and payrolls there is no excuses for mistakes. You have to be clear and correct or else it can cause the company. I tell myself again that on Thursday is just one thing to do the whole day and that's the payrolls to be processed so the employees can get paid on Friday.

I have had a rough week the whole week and I come home to nothing but studying till all hours of the night. I'm probably sleep deprived. Maybe I should take my first week vacation before I hurt myself or someone else because I've just been dazed and lost.

I forgot to blog yesterday

Date: 01/27/09
Time: 9am
Place: Work

I cant believe I forgot to blog yesterday!! I was soo tired by the time I got home. I had to take care of my taxes right after work. I didn't leave there until about 10pm and I got there around 7pm. I'm very picky with my taxes and want them done correctly. Of course I want a refund and this year I'm getting a super nice one but I don't like it when they add information that I might get attack for in the future like one day my friend tax guy did to me.

Eventually I had to do an amended return and ended up getting screwed at the end so now I only go to well-known places like H & R Block. So far they have been excellent in services which everyone should be since they are dealing with your personal information but we know that never happens.

Anyway I have to get back to work! My boss cant leave me alone for 5 minutes!

Another lazy day for me

Time:8:47 pm
Place:home
Date 01/25/09

Today I woke up late again. Which has been pretty normal for a Sunday. Last night we got home around 3am from my husbands nephew birthday party. It was a boring one but his aunt was my entertainment for the night. Me and her are extremely close.

Today I had a report that was due for my Customer Relations class. I never worked on it until today and we were given two weeks to work on it. I procrastinated alot but I think it came out pretty well. My butt just hurts from sitting down so long. Once I was done with the report my little brother came over and we played call of duty while eating domino's. I played alittle after he left and wanted to watch a movie until I realized I didn't blog yet. So I'm doing this now and I'm going to watch a movie before I go to bed. Another day at work tomorrow but I'm kind of looking forward to it because alot of work has been done and I just have to fix up a few follow-ups unless something else comes up to screw up my day which usually happens.

Another super long day

Time: 6:35pm
Place: Home
Date: 01/24/09

I woke up super early like at 8 am and I went to bed last night at like 3am. I had to go to the baptism for my sis-in law which started at 11am. Once we got back, we ordered lunch and helped get the cake and beers. My sis in law is doing a birthday/baptism party. One of her son's birthday is today and her other son was baptised this morning so she combined the celebration. I just came home to do a few things and maybe take a nap. I wont be heading to the party until alittle after nine. My sis in law doesn't know how to throw good parties. Since she doesn't work and her husband is the sole provider he is extremely stingy. I just found out how many people are going to be there and when I saw they were just going to serve this Spanish style type of soup I was like oh lord. Its like going to a homeless shelter, there is literally going to be just soup, cake, beer and chips. I cant get out of it unfortunately only because someone has to babysit my husband, he doesn't know when its time to stop hitting the bottle and one of two things will happened: he is probably going to act like he's tough and start drama or throw up all over the place. He doesn't drink on the regular but when its an occasion to have a sip of something he wants the whole bottle so he can be the talk. Whatever though I'm use to it.

I'm going to take a nap now!! BYE BYE!!

Today just went wrong!

Time:8:20 pm
Date: 01/23/09
Place: Home

I have never felt so exhausted in my life. I didn't write a blog yesterday because I was recovering from an eye infection since Wednesday and my eye was in burning pain. Now that my eye is better, I woke up this morning with a toothache because my last wisdom tooth is coming out but whatever I can deal with that.

At work the payroll company screwed up all the union workers checks and I had to spend the whole day fixing them before the union rep pulls our guys out of the Field. Traffic was the WORST this morning going to work and coming home from work. Some dude was trying to hype me up in trying to get ahead of me while sitting in traffic. RETART!! I hate it when people do that. Like I'm really going to be that stupid to risk my life, damage my car and hike up my insurance just to proved that I can cut people off and get to my exit before. Yeah buddy that was smart.

Before I turn to the block to where i live I have to pass this gas station. So I check my gas and decided that I would just fill up now since it didn't look busy (its a full service station and I filled up with $13. Thank god its a 4 cylinder). So anyway, my husband and I one day were talking about how there are people out there driving high priced cars and could barely pay for gas. Well I never noticed until I saw this dude with a nice looking 2008 Charger sedan and his friend was passing him gas and there was this 2008 Mercedes C-class and the owner couldn't pay for the garage payments.

Now today when I went to get gas there was another Mercedes there fighting the guy that was there pumping the gas because he didn't have the money to pay for it so he's friend said that he has it and ended up paying in fake twenties. Thank god the worker found that out before he drove off. Now mind you they weren't kids. They must have been as old are my father. They stayed calm the whole time but I just found it funny that this guy owns an expensive vehicle and doesn't have money for gas. Gas is super cheap now because like I said before I filled up with $13 but I have a 1997 Civic 4-cylinder, that's an unfair comparison to a Benz but I initially bought that car because I new that I will always be able to afford maintenance and gas to the vehicle. It's funny on how the things people do to show off to the outside world or to be the topic in every friend and family conversation.

I'm sorry I'll stay with my little civic! I love my two door! When I am able to afford something better, I will and it will always have gas too! And properly maintained!!

im so tired

Date: 01/21/09
Time: 1:44 pm
Place: Work

Today is alittle bit weird for me. I am so tired from doing all my homework last night plus I woke up feeling extremely sick. My eyes feel swollen and I have a tremendous headache!! Plus the dog is sick too!! UGH!! This morning it was him sneezing forever and very gassy!! Having a dog is like having a kid. When you actually pay attention them that when you get all concern with their health. He kept whining all morning but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Since I had to leave for work and I'm not feeling good myself, I just put him in his pen which some blankets, locked him up and left.

My husband got home early and said he was sleeping on the blankets and didn't want to move from there. He wanted to take him out for a walk but he didn't want to go so my husband just left him there until he is ready to go out. My husband says he looks fine, he doesn't see anything that would show he is hurt or anything. Who knows? I'll see how he is the rest of the day and if tomorrow he isn't better than I'll just take him to the vet on my lunch hour. Another bill but that's what you get for having dogs!!

my president is black! History in the making!!

Date: 01/20/09
Time: 7:50pm
Place: Home

First I just want to start out by saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!! I know your not going to read this but I cant tell you enough that I love you always and I'm glad god gave us another year to have you in our lives!!

Today was a pretty laid back day. A few co-workers and I spend our lunch time watching Barack Obama finally take office. It was breath taking to see the African American become our president. I remember in the 4Th grade our history teacher was telling us the qualifications you need to have to become president and ended his statement saying "this is why a minority cannot become president". Not knowing what he truly meant, I just knew that we will always have "white" presidents. Until 2009 came rolling around to give us new changes.

It was amazing to see all the people that were out there to see him but I still couldn't help the fact the racism is shown alot more lately. I grew up with a racist mother but I never took her views. My best friends are Spanish, German, Turkish, Bahamians and African American. I considered them my sisters. But I just thought it was only my mother that was racist, not anyone else.

While I was watching Obama make his speech I started to think about all the crazy racist stuff happen since he was up for election such as the Spanish guy getting jumped and killed by some teenagers. At that point I realized that even though there are alot of supporter, there are also people who are probably plotting his death just because they REFUSE to have a country run by someone who is of color. I mean does it really matter about the color of the person? or does the morals matter? I guess its just ignorance for those racist people. They have the reason for their beliefs but sometimes its not fair when they feel they have to control situation by terminating the situation like those kids that killed that Spanish man.

About 2 years ago, during the holidays, I was at a toy store shopping for my nieces and nephews. There was this lady there that ended up hanging with me at the store buying kids toys because she was clueless. I live in a primarily Russian neighborhood and my husband and I are amongst the few Hispanic population in the neighborhood. So we stick out like sore thumbs. Anyway they lady eventually ask me where i was from. i knew she meant nationality but I tested her out and told her "from the building around the corner". She than so no you background, so I told her that I was Puerto Rican and Dominican and they both immigrated here when they were teenagers and had me and my siblings here in the states. She looked at me weird. I knew she didn't think that I was Spanish. Every one that I come in contact with always thinks I'm some weird nationality other than Hispanic. So I asked her what did she think I was, that's when she said Poland or some part of Russia. I asked her why? and she said because I have green eyes and there wasn't a such thing as an Hispanic person with blond hair and green eyes. She than asked me if I knew who my father was because I needed to check my status because a Spanish man will never father a blue eye baby.

I had NO idea what to do. First my mothers family are fully Dominicans all with blond hair blue eyes and my fathers puerto rican family are extremely dark. My sister has Indian straight jet black hair with a dark complexion, very pretty. My brother is slight dark complexion, light eyes, with dirty blond hair, he's a heart breaker. Just because one girl came out too look like her mother doesn't mean she is from a different man! I wanted to smack this woman. I was still in shock and my husband met me at the cashier to hand me something and asked me who he was. I just glared and she has the never to say if I want my kids to have a rich life I need to get rid of him and get with someone that will help me "bred" the "correct" color (my husband is dark as well). All I remember was taking the truck that I had in my hand and swinging it at the woman. I was just in shocked on how she felt she was right by saying that.

I just hope Obama as a peaceful term without these ignorant people making things already difficult than they already are.

I love this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q56pHCGrlc4

I love snow

Date: 01/19/09
Time: 7:50 pm
Place: Home

I LOVE the snow! I got out of a slow day at work, drove home to change, take the dog out so I can have someone to play with in the snow. My husband and I threw snow balls at the dog, made snow angels and took pictures. We walked around a bit and saw that someone had made a super big snow man! It was the coolest thing ever!! So we took pictures of course and some videos of the dog attacking a miniature snow man! I'm like a big kid when it comes to the snow! I have to be outside which is why sometimes people send their kids out with me. I don't mind at least I have someone to play with instead of the dog.

Here is a picture of the super BIG snow man:

And a video of my dog going buck in the snow. We had to keep him on the leash because of the kids around. He kept peeing and attacking their snowman's! lol

Yea its another sunday

Date: 01/18/09
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Home

Today was mostly a day of writing papers for my classes because unlike other people I have to work tomorrow. I was going to take the day off but since my birthday is coming up I rather use it then. My husband doesn't have to work and it felt that it was necessary to tease me about it. I don't know why since I've been working at my job for almost 3 years already so he should be use to me working most holidays. My job doesn't give us a holiday until memorial day and that like at the end of may. They only give us seven holidays and the eighth is considered "open day" where you can use it as your own personal holiday at any period of the year. There are alot of different cultures at my job and everyones holidays are different. They all don't celebrate the USA holidays which is why they give us an open day.

See everyone can tease me all they want about working tomorrow. Most of the ones that are don't get paid for holidays, days off or vacation when I do. LOL. I can be home just for the hell of it and I'm still collecting for the day, where my husband has to go to work sick because he wont get paid and at that point its my time to gloat!! lol

I cant believe its almost five and I just woke up. I was extremely tired when I got home last night which was about 2am. Traffic was the worst going into Manhattan. So many stalled cars on highway it was a mess!!

Ever since childhood I never fell asleep immediately,no matter how tired I would be, so when I finally started to doze off it must have been about 4am. Sometimes I hate sleeping late because I feel like I'm wasting my life away by doing nothing. But than again it is cold outside and all I wanted to do was get a car wash. It is disgusting from the dirty snow and salt!! But I heard it was going to snow tomorrow so maybe I'll go tonight to get one. I park in an indoor garage but my car cant take anymore of the abuse its getting from being filthy!! lol!! I never had my car sooo dirty.

I have to get ready now to go grocery shopping and make something to eat.

Since I have to write a blog entry everyday. I decided to write a quick short blog. My best friends (like my sisters) are over now. Two of them have kids and brought them them over too. They are a cute little bunch and realized how much I really enjoy seeing the kids and of course my best home girls ever! We ordered pizza and got some goodies for the kids. We just clowning around.

My husband went out with his cousins to go see Notorious BIG. I'm about to take the girls home because one lives in downtown Manhattan and I rather drive her home and I have to pick my husband up too. Its way too cold outside for any of them to wait for cabs and buses to come. So I'm out now!

UGGHH!! day is almost over!!

Time: 4:20 pm
Date: 01/15/09
Place: Work.

Today is finally over. I have to wait for some work to get approved so I thought while I wait I would do a blog entry.

Today it snowed and I know people wished it snowed alot so they can go home but I don't mind coming to because I hate after work piled up because I didn't come in. Since I have the most responsibilities here they don't bother me if I want to leave work. I actually like the snow anyway. When the cleaning crew came to clean the lot, we were all parked on one side of the lot so they can clean. Today I were my sweats on purpose, so while I was waiting for the guys to tell us to switch the cars the others I would run up the ramp and run down to slide. I have a long coat and sweats so I didn't care. Some of the guys came out to throw snow balls but they kept falling on their butts and decided that they weren't going to mess with me anymore!! lol I had TONS of fun. I was going to go home and take my nephew and my dog to the park by my house to play in the snow. They LOVE it but unfortunately I have to run over to my brothers high school because they are having a giveaway and they need to have an adult with them. They are giving away laptops and ipods to the seniors and my mother doesn't want to be bother with that stuff. She felt it was a waste so of course I'll go. I'll do anything for my little brothers!!

Anyways I'm going to go now because its almost that time to head out anyways!!

I'm at work!!

Date:11/14/09
Time: 2:02 pm
Place: Work

I wont have time to do a blog entry after school tonight. That's usually how I feel after a long day at work and a day at school.

So I'm going to take alittle bit of time out of my crazy responsibilities here since I need a break anyway. For whatever reason I feel alittle down. Not depressed but more like looking at my life and wanting to change things. Honestly I cant wait to graduate so I can at least move forward to better things. I like where I work and since I have no kids my pay is great (especially since I just got my raise!!) but I have alot of things that I want in my life. I want my house already but away from NY. I might want to start having kids soon and I want another car!! lol

All these wants but my dollar only goes so far!! One day though!! I have hope and will to get the life that I wasn't raised with!!

unappreciated!!

Date: 01/13/09
Time: 7:13pm
Place: Home

First let me start off by saying I am soooo sleepy!! Today felt so long!!

Work was alittle bit ridiculous. For a while I was the only female in the company until about seven months ago they hired two more females. When I started with my job there was only six employees and now there is 42 employees. I know the in and out of every department and how to do their job. Even cost estimating.

Today I realize that people rely on me to do everything while they walk around on their cell phones and take 3 hour lunch breaks when me and the girls aren't allowed to take lunch together because the bosses want to have one of us around when they need us!! Well, the controller topped it off today. He started to prepare some paper work and since he was too scared to ask me where to find the back documents he just left it on my desk assuming that I was going to do it for him. I asked him to provide the supporting documents and for him to send it out himself. Well that didn't work because he left it in my office. I guess he waits til I step out of my office to leave notes. Well when I saw it I just threw it with the UPS and sent it for him. I know its going to come back rejected because since we to mechanical construction for the city they need their paperwork a certain way when invoicing them.

I really hope it does come back fast so he can realize that communication is the key to every department and when you start something you need to finish it. I have tons of other responsibility and I'm already fixing stuff up that the controller messed up (boss request) I am not doing anything else. Oh you bet with the next week or so I will be going in discussion about my raise and I'm making sure I get what I deserve. The work that I do is enough to keep 3 people busy and they know that because when things get out of hand I pay my little brothers to help when they're off from school.

Maybe that's why I'm so sleepy all the time!! by the time I get a chance to sit down I rather spend it sleeping but since I'm in school that option gets taking away from me quick!!

Date: 01/12/09
Time: 7:10 pm

Today was a pretty quiet day at work which is weird for a Monday. I did most of what need to do and plotted some trouble that I will cause tomorrow because I refuse to fix up the work that other people screw up especially since these dam hogs get paid more than me. But I'm not worried about the drama that is going to happen because at the end it wasn't my responsibility and people tend to lack communication.

I left my usual time and went straight home. Right now I'm listening to alittle Aaliyah, Britney, twilight soundtrack and some other stuff just to ease my mind from all the devilish things that I have in planned so I can go to bed in peace.

I am soooo sleepy!! and its only Monday.

UGGHH its snowing still!!

Date: 01/10/09
Time: 7:51 pm
Place: Home

Today was a pretty lay back type of day. I had to do a few things in the morning and since i knew it was the weekend I went to be last night around 3am because I was watching Twilight again. Bad move. I had to wake up at 8am to run some errands before the snow came down and I didn't want to get caught in it since my car isn't equipped for it. Thank god by the time I got home it just started snowing. When I got home I went to bed. I woke up to cook and now I'm going to pop some popcorn and watch 7 pounds.

I was watching this before the blog. I love the jabbawokeez. I cant believe they put those stupid girls to try to compete with them. That's where the video failed,I think.

My last blog stated that I was going to explain about my day but I'm not!! All I know it was a long day! From going to work, swinging by the school, getting a ticket for reckless driving (my job didnt know I went to queens during my lunch break an hour drive took me 1/2 hr), going back to work, after work I went to see my dad, than left to drop something off at my mechanics house, than picking up my husband and bro-in-law, take my bro-in-law home, go out to eat with my husband and now I'm finally home and all I wanna do is go to sleep!!

My days are too LONG!!

Date: 1/07/09
Time: 10:45 pm
Place: HOME

My day has been the super longest day and you would think that I should be use to it already since it always feels this way.

I ended up going to work SUPER early (7am day starts at 8am) because I had alot of 2008 employees and accounts that needed to be closed and stored away and start preparing the 2009 account and new hires. OK FINE DONE!! Got rid of that finally before 8am even started to peek! Which made me realize I should just get to work early because its peaceful and alot gets done!!

And of course the day begins. I go from handling union payrolls, catering lunch and hearing my boss BEG me to fix the stuff the freaking, retarded controller screwed up!! 5pm creeps up on me and guess what my day is still not over!

I went to get my nails done, than run to my "hook up" guy to go pick up my bulbs for my HID's (the lights on my car,if you don't know). OK! So I get to my garage and feel like putting the HID's on to get rid of the project. I popped the hood and realized forget it because its beyond a mission. Unlike some cars, in order to install the light I have to take the whole bumper and grill just to get to the head lights!! I'll do that some other day!!

So I get home, took a shower and I wanted to go to bed until I realize there is homework that needs to be done!! and than my buzzer barked!! I forgot to take the dog out and my husband is in his third dream from getting home early. I walk the dog, come home and hubby's hungry! Fine I'll cook! So I fed both my dogs (hubby and my pit bull).

And now I'm trying to get some homework done and do everything over tomorrow. Oh!! but tomorrow is going to be interesting!! There is sooo many things that need to be done in a short period of time!! Thank god I'm not afraid of speeding or even getting caught!

Now I want to go to sleep!

I'm so sleepy!!
