Cop too! dang!
This issue came to light very public DWI cases where New York City police officers were both the suspects and the investigators in an accident. In one such case, officer Andrew Kelley is suspected of DWI in an accident that took the life of a local Bronx woman. At the time of the arrest, several witnesses reported Kelley showed signs of impairment. A blood test several hours later showed no alcohol was present in his blood at that point.
To prevent these types of delays in the future, cops and D.A.'s are agreeing to require only one breath test refusal, the first one in the field, before petitioning for a warrant. Some defense attorneys question how much this will actually speed up the process since the second refusal usually comes within 30 minutes. The parties have not yet decided whether the blood tests will be administered strictly in medical facilities or possibly at the precinct by doctors working for the police department.
Whether or not the public will accept this new procedure or question its constitutionality remains to be seen. For now, this is not a law change but a policy change. A legal response may be required if the many parties involved cannot agree on the lawfulness of this procedure.

Cant trust GrANDMAN
Natalie Greene told police she picked up the infant, shook and squeezed her.
Prosecutors allege Ms. Green, 40, rattled the infant so hard and pushed her back into her crib with such force that the baby suffered fractures of the skull, arms and ribs. 'I just got really frustrated. I didn't mean to hurt her,' Ms. Greene, 40, told police, according to a law-enforcement source. 'I'm so sorry.'
Ms. Greene was baby-sitting the infant when the incident occurred Oct. 9 about 3 p.m. inside the girl's Newark Avenue home, the source said. No one else was home at the time. The source did not have details on the child's current condition other than to say she was taken to Richmond University Medical Center after the incident. A RUMC spokeswoman said yesterday the hospital does not comment on any pediatric patient.
Its crazy how sometimes you might think leaving your child with a family is a good idea but when people are dont raising kids or dont like kids, stuff like this happens. To me its not even worth it.

Honest John: Audi offers to pay for out of warranty leaky turbo - Telegraph
MR, via email
That's a fair offer from Audi – and gratifying that it was made voluntarily. Oil seals usually fail because the engine has been switched off when the turbo is still red hot.
No engine oil is then able to circulate to cool the turbo bearings, the oil left in there carbonises and the seals cook. You should always allow a turbocharged engine to idle for a minute or two after towing or driving on the motorway (don't switch off straight away at fuel stops).
If your journey ends with a few minutes relatively slow running though a town at low engine speeds, that will do the job and there's no need to idle the turbo.
Some of the latest petrol turbos are watercooled, so there is less of a problem.
Some turbo engines have a system that keeps pumping oil through the turbo while it spools down after the engine is switched off, so they're fine too."

early plans for Hughes and Joba
Cashman feels David Robertson and Damaso Marte can pitch the seventh and eighth innings in front of Mariano Rivera, but a Yankees run at John Lackey, Ben Sheets or another starter hasn't been ruled out. The feeling inside the Yankees' offices is that there will be some payroll cutback, but how much is not known.
That's the way to go. Preparing to start prevents Hughes and Joba from neglecting their third and fourth pitches, which they wouldn't really need as relievers. It also allows them to not look desperate for starting pitching on the trade/FA market. And if they do end up acquiring a couple 'established' starters, it's far easier to to move one of Hughes/Joba to the pen where they can 'drop' a pitch rather than having to 're-learn' a pitch late in the off-season.

There are numerous options, but at the end of the day, it would make the most sense to bring Damon back into the fold.

Godzilla
Matsui, the Yankees’ Japanese import, terrorized the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. His performance earned him the series’ Most Valuable Player award, making it a true World Series.
He’s one of few foreigners playing in the Major Leagues who isn’t from a country in America’s back yard of the Caribbean and Latin America. This time I didn’t cringe when the sports announcers proclaimed the Bronx Bombers the 2009 World Champs.
Love them or hate them, the Yankees are the sporting soul of New York.

Where did the mets come from?
The Red Sox also have been mentioned as potential Lackey suitors along with the Mariners, but the level of interest of those clubs has not been clear.
'We've dialogued quite a bit,' Angels general manager Tony Reagins said, calling the conversations with Lackey's agent, Steve Hilliard, 'reasonable.' The GM added that he would not divulge any specific terms, a club policy.
Retaining Lackey, 31, for something in the five-year, $70 million range would free the Angels to focus their attention on the offense. Reagins said there are 'a lot of scenarios we can attack through free agency,' and the trade market also is being explored.

long day
I also just came from best buy also because I bought a surround sound and the DVD player blew out. I took it in because I have insurance on it but the service department said that for the price it will cost them to fix it that they would consider it a junk out and to get a whole new one equivalent to the value of the one I had. So fine I ended up getting the one that I originally wanted but the one that blew was the one my husband wanted because it looked good with the TV. I told him not to get it and look now, we had to get rid of it. The only thing we are stuck with now are the speakers. They said that they couldn't take it back because they will just throw it away so they let us keep it. I don't know I might just sell it to someone or store it away until I can figure out what to do with it.

I didn't make it to class Friday because I had some personal things to handle. I eventually got home around 12am and my husband bought paranormal activity DVD from god knows where. We decided to watch it because I wasn't tired to go to bed and I needed time to just sit back and relax.. Well let me tell you that the movie is insane!!! I would watch it again!!! I do believe in those things and strongly but it's just crazy how this actually happened and that they decide to record it.. It was just creepy and of course the lights were off when we watch it... I did have a hard time falling asleep at first. I wasn't scared I was just thinking about it and kind of want to research it some more and find some more stories. I just find it very interesting!!

im back
So yesterday was a horrible day! I really think Im getting fed up with my job. My boss and I went at it yesterday because he swears he is never wrong. He's already under paying me for the massive work I am responsible for so he should KNOW better than getting loud with me. I let it go and went to work today feeling like I have the whole company on my back. I actually spent the WHOLE day on the one thing that he wanted me to do. I didnt finish about two things which is why I am going to work tomorrow EXTRA early to get his crap over and done with. GOD he is super annoying and I really feel like looking for another job. I'm just scared that I might be over qualified, I might not get the salary that I am looking for or go into a company that might not be secure enough.
I dont know! I just know I have to really think things through.

Drug raids
The suspects are accused of funneling large amounts of cocaine, prescription drugs and marijuana into the area through three separate drug-distribution networks.
State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said more than $180,000 worth of drugs and $83,000 in cash were seized during the roundup dubbed 'Operation Burning Plant.'
Six people were charged in connection with a cocaine trafficking ring extending from Orange County and the Bronx to Florida and the Dominican Republic. Eighteen others face charges they distributed ille-gal prescription medication.
Prosecutors have charged 28 with involvement in a marijuana distribution network working between Orange County and Florida, Arizona and Canada. Several suspects are charged with overlapping par-ticipation in at least two of the trafficking rings.
The raids centered on the town of Newburgh. The arrests follow a two-year investigation led by state police and officials from the state Attorney General's Office. Numerous other law-enforcement agencies also were involved.

OMG!
Time: 3:45 pm
Place: Home
I haven't blogged in a minute already. There isn't any excuses because I have the blog mobile now where I can blog through text messages but remember the Yankees won the world series. I have been watching the games and when we won, I celebrated til the end of the weekend. I couldn't go to the parade but a few of us went to applebees at lunch with our Yankee gear on. It was the coolest thing ever.
Some of us went out on Saturday too and we all had our Yankee jackets and our fitted. It was crazy how the parade was on Friday and on Saturday when people saw our crew they would scream go Yankees or do something stupid. It was just way too much fun.
We didn't do much yesterday but go out to dinner and went to see SAW 6 which was ridiculous!! My husband and I have been seeing saw at the movies since the first one came out and even though it was late we HAD to go see it. Things kept coming up which caused us not to be able to go see it but man that movie was SICK!!! lol...
Over all! I had an awesome weekend! Now time to go back to work tomorrow and deal with the pain in the asses!!

So I forgot
Time: 12:45 PM
Place: Home
So I forgot to post the pass couple of days. I just got the blogger working on my phone so I don't have to try to get to my lap top all the time. No excuse to not get to my school work but the Yankee came was on this weekend and people came over. I had a big party on Saturday which was really just to watch the world series. It was so much fun. Sunday was just a day to recuperate because I woke up a ZOMBIE!!! and of course to watch the game again.
Monday my little brother had knee surgery because of a sport injury. He had hopes of getting into the MLB and I guess watching the game hit him hard because not only was he in pain he was also not comfortable with not playing until he gets better. But I'm his big sister and I have to be strong for him and unfortunately the Yankees lost. Ugh what a day.
My husband is off today and I took it off too because I wanted to take my brother to his follow-up appointment and to be with my husband. It feels sooo good to sleep in alittle and to come home from errands instead of work. I was going to go in as soon as my brother was done seeing the doctor but I wanted to get school work done too.
Today there isn't a game on. Yankees come back to the Bronx tomorrow to win the series. Right now is Yanks 3 Phillie's 2 so we just need one win!! CANT WAIT!! LETS GO YANKEES! 2
